thegmoney 0 Posted May 19, 2022 Posted May 19, 2022 I have several android tvs and a fire tv with emby apps all workign great. My main tv is a Sony Bravia Android TV and i have no audio on many files. It seems certain codec don't work on that tv, even though I have another different model Sony Bravia android tv where those same exact files playback fine. I sent a report 20 min ago or so. username playing the file is mediaserver I was attempting to play an episode of The League
ebr 16184 Posted May 19, 2022 Posted May 19, 2022 Hi. Try setting the audio option in the app playback settings to "Mix down to stereo".

thegmoney 0 Posted May 20, 2022 Author Posted May 20, 2022 Oh wow that worked.. before I submitted ticket I had tried the other setting to convert unsupported audio to Dolby digital but that didn't work. I have a 7.1 sound bar. Is it going to down mix to stereo for everything now?

What you could do instead is try side loading our standard android app on the same device and let us know how that compares: https://emby.media/emby-for-android.html Thanks.

When I did this it is able to direct play those files without issue. So something is up with the Android TV version of the app ?

thegmoney 0 Posted May 21, 2022 Author Posted May 21, 2022 Good to know. How far does the Android TV app lag behind the the Standard app typically? The release notes thread doesn't have any dates on it, so I don't have any concept of timing.
