Hey, it would be great if you guys could add an option to scan all the files in an artist folder.  The same way you can scan an individual season of a tv show:

That way you don't have to scan the full library when adding an album.

But it is a virtual item created from a tag as it is not a folder so what would it scan?

But you can do it from folder view at each folder level.

The difference from something created by a tag (virtual) and from an actual folder.

But isn't it reading it from my folders when I choose this option?967380818_ScreenShot2022-05-18at5_23_39PM.png.8ad470e222e054c3eb7f3216352fb0fc.png

Sort of, the tabs are generated from track metadata and have nothing to do with structure.  Only folder view will apply structure.

Sort of. It's still all virtual like happy2play described, but when you specify that option it gives us a way to try and locate the folder for an artist based on the song. (e.g., the artist folder is two levels up from the song).

So yes in theory this request is possible.

You're both right. Everything you're saying is true.
