JaScoMa 34 Posted May 18, 2022 Posted May 18, 2022 Wanted to do some testing with Emby and Windows 11; latest version whichever setup.exe downloaded and installed. After testing, uninstalled Emby, but it's still showing up as being installed. When I try in uninstall, an error appears: "Windows cannot find 'C:\Users\%useraccount%\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\system\MediaBrowser.Uninstaller.exe'. Make sure you type the name correctly, and then try again." After rebooting the system, same thing. Emby is listed as an installed app and the error above appears. Thank you..
balkerman 7 Posted September 20, 2025 Posted September 20, 2025 (edited) This is still a thing.... even did a fresh install and uninstall, reboot etc. Same result. Edited September 20, 2025 by balkerman
booboos 5 Posted September 20, 2025 Posted September 20, 2025 (edited) It is possible to get rid of it. I had to go to the registry editor and do a search for the word Emby. There was still a ton of Emby related crap in the registry which I got rid of one by one. And 3 years later the only comment from Emby in various threads about this issue over and over again is 'we'll take a look'. Edited September 20, 2025 by booboos Grammar 1
Luke 42077 Posted September 20, 2025 Posted September 20, 2025 Hi, our plan at this point is to build a new windows installer.
booboos 5 Posted September 20, 2025 Posted September 20, 2025 Aha! You've finally taken a look. Anyway, yes that's good to know. Thanks very much. 1
