Titanum 1 Posted May 11, 2022 Posted May 11, 2022 I am now having this exact same problem but I looked in my log and didn't see anything that says denied. I am also on Windows 10 running Emby 4.6.7.0. All my libraries scan just fine except my movies one, so I threw all my movies in a new folder and it initial scanned them fine but if I throw any new movies in it wont scan them or show the percentage wheel. embyserver.txt @Happy2Play please move my postings and cayars help to a new topic. Thanks.
Carlo 4561 Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 Hi @Titanum, Try checking the parent folder/directory permission and specifically actions for new content or sub folders. You need to make sure the permissions get applied to anything added to the tree.
Titanum 1 Posted May 12, 2022 Author Posted May 12, 2022 I checked that and I appear to have permissions.

Doubt you have the same issue as your 3 minute log has no permissions issues. 2022-05-11 15:21:19.064 Info LibraryMonitor: Watching directory G:\Moovies Am guessing you changed Moovies to Movies. You are saying Real Time Monitoring is not seeing newly added movies? Do they appear after a full scan? What is your folder structure? @Titanumplease follow this topic. Titanum 1 Posted May 13, 2022 Author Posted May 13, 2022 The original folder was called G:\Movies and it had stopped scanning any newly added movies about 2 weeks ago. So I tried moving out those 2 weeks worth of new movies (about 10 of them) thinking one of them might have caused the issue. Added one new movie to G:\Movies and tried scanning from the home screen, didn't work so tried a different movie and same thing. Then I tried Scan Library Files in the Server/Libraries section which didn't pick up anything either. So I created a new folder in my G drive G:\Moovies and Cut and Pasted all my movies minus the newest ones into there. It auto populated all the movies correctly. I tried adding a new movie to it and it wont update it again with any of the methods I tried earlier. I have now created a new folder G:\Movies! to hold all my new movies in, about 10 or 12 so far, it auto populated them correctly and have added 2 more to this folder since and the scan worked fine and updated it correctly. It's just the folder with 4302 movies in it wont scan anymore. Attached is a new log and folder structure pic Hopefully all that made sense. embyserver (1).txt
Happy2Play 9784 Posted May 13, 2022 Posted May 13, 2022 Could the drive be corrupt or going bad? Or something specific to these two movies. System.IO.IOException: System.IO.IOException: The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable. : 'G:\Moovies\Fatherhood (2021) [720p] [WEBRip] [YTS.MX]' System.IO.DirectoryNotFoundException: Could not find a part of the path 'G:\Moovies\Uncharted (2022)'
Titanum 1 Posted May 13, 2022 Author Posted May 13, 2022 Thank you so much! It was the Fatherhood movie causing the issue. I couldn't delete it but Cut and Pasted everything except Fatherhood to a yet again new folder. It auto updated, I added a new movie and it updated perfectly. Thanks again 1
