max streams error when user set to unlimited

I tried to play a movie and got a toast saying I had exceeded maximum streams.  I didn't know someone was playing movies in the other room.  This limitation surprised me so I looked at the user profile (same profile for all devices).  It says:

Max simultaneous video streams:
Unlimited

So why couldn't I play movies on two devices simultaneously?

BTW, that toast needs to display longer - the msg is to long for just a second.

Have you verified global setting (Network menu) and per user setting (per user setting)?

Are you talking about the Network setting under "Allow remote connections to this Emby Server."?  It was set to "1".  I set it to "2" and that fixed the problem.  Thank you.

Now, that brings up a couple of other issues.

1) That setting is the only non-remote setting under "Allow remote connections to this Emby Server."  I thought it was only for remote connections!  Please move this setting to a more logical place.

2) These global vs user settings are confusing (since they are spread out across contexts in 'settings').  There is no way to be aware you have conflicting settings.  I think I understand the need ('unlimited for this user acct, but only 10 for the entire system' kind of thing), but maybe an improvement could be made around this.

Allow remote connection to this server is yes or no to allow Remote Access.  So you have a global setting to allow Remote Acces, then you have a per user option to allow or deny them Remote access.

Allow remote connections to this Emby Server.
If unchecked, all remote connections will be blocked.

Max simultaneous video streams: controls sessions, does not matter whether local or remote.

Max simultaneous video streams:

Limit the number of concurrent video playback sessions.
This feature requires an active .

Will look as I believe it has been asked before on if one setting override the other.

But the user setting is to prevent users from having multiple sessions.

I know what 'allow remote connections' means - please keep it in context.  You may have missed the point of my point #1 (I can't tell).  Please re-read and let me know if you have any questions about it.
