EMBY Client for Nvidia Shield issue with 4K movies.

Hello,

 

I have an issue when reading a 3D movie from fy Nvidia Shield.. 

For that I installed Emby client from Google play (for andorid tv) on my Nvidia Shield,

and also  I installed the Emby client on my Windows laptop .

 

When reading the same movie  in 4K resolution coming from the same server, I see that on the Emby Nvidia, it uses the transcoding, and play the movie in n720X300 (info received))

when on my laptop the same is correct. see the aatached images.

 

any idea ?

Hi.  Both of those are transcoding.

Can we please see the ffmpeg logs?

Hi. Both are transcoding due to the bit rate being over the set or determined limit.

Hi, are you trying to avoid transcoding? if that's the case then try raising the quality setting in the app that you're playing from. Please see if that helps. Thanks.
