Murvalous 0 Posted May 4, 2022 Posted May 4, 2022 So for TV shows (movies seems fine) I always have to go and manually identify a TV show, I have checked on plex and thats detecting the shows automatically so I am not sure why Emby isnt, I have searched and nothing I find seems to identify the issue. Im a complete beginner when it comes to the technical side of emby so any help is appreciated:)

Murvalous 0 Posted May 4, 2022 Author Posted May 4, 2022 Heres an example of a TV show that Emby couldnt identify and I had to manually do it: Outer.Range.S01E04.HDR.2160p.WEB.H265-GLHF[rarbg] And folders are set up by: "E:\incoming\TV Shows\Outer.Range.S01E04.HDR.2160p.WEB.H265-GLHF[rarbg]" I think thats what you mean by folder structure right?

I would name it like this: ...\Outer Range (2022)\Season 1\S01E04.mkv
Murvalous 0 Posted May 4, 2022 Author Posted May 4, 2022 Honestly if I have to rename everything manually each time its going to put me off using emby, plex seems to pick up all these shows automatically, do you know why emby cant, I was hoping it might just be a setting to fix/tweak?
vdatanet 1618 Posted May 4, 2022 Posted May 4, 2022 Sorry, I posted the wrong link, the mouse is faster than my eyes: Emby TV Naming : Emby

Every Show/Series currently must have their own folder. Edited May 4, 2022 by Happy2Play
