vdrover 62 Posted May 2, 2022 Posted May 2, 2022 (edited) Today I can no longer view my channels. I just get the spinning `loading` icon for a little bit. This stops and just a white screen is shown. Any tips? Server version: 4.6.7.0 Linux. Browsers: Chrome for Mac 100.0.4896.127, Safari for Mac 15.4 (17613.1.17.1.13). I tried rebooting but that didn't fix things. Logs sent by PM. vdrover 62 Posted May 2, 2022 Author Posted May 2, 2022 Updated my initial reply and sent logs. I did see a concerning issue: 2022-05-02 12:23:09.553 Error HdHomerunHost: Error getting channel list
vdrover 62 Posted May 2, 2022 Author Posted May 2, 2022 I experienced this same problem today with 4.6.7. I could use the epg.best file if i saved it locally, but not if I used the URL.
vdrover 62 Posted May 2, 2022 Author Posted May 2, 2022 (edited) I was using a homerun and epg.best m3U URL. Removing the epg.best URL for BOTH the TV source and the EPG guide data solved the channel display issue. I could not then however save the M3U URL as a new source. Saving the M3U file locally, and then entering the path to the locally saved file worked however. What could have caused this change in the ability to use an M3U URL vs. local file? Also, this thread from @ctine2020 is related: Edited May 2, 2022 by vdrover

You may need to customize the user agent and/or referrer options to try and disguise what software the request is coming from.

Looks like you don't have a network connection so the server is unable to even reach your HDHR to download the channel list, or the internet to get the guide data.
vdrover 62 Posted May 2, 2022 Author Posted May 2, 2022 Network seems fine. And I did have a custom user agent set. I just retested and even using a custom agent, an EPG.BEST url prevents channels from working. Using the same file saved locally works fine.
Luke 42078 Posted May 2, 2022 Posted May 2, 2022 Try rebooting your machine. All outgoing network requests are failing, even ones on the local network to your HDHR. That means you either have a network problem, or you have something on the server machine that is blocking outgoing communications from Emby Server.
vdrover 62 Posted May 2, 2022 Author Posted May 2, 2022 I have rebooted twice. And my channels are playing fine using the local EPG files.
