Emby is eating my whole disk!!!

My NAS is complaining about no more space, after some investing i found it's the EmbyServer continuous writing data to my disk.

Hi, this is normal if your Emby server is performing any transcoding during media playback and is removed automatically. The path is configurable under the 'Transcoding' section in your Emby Server settings, perhaps try selecting a path with more free space?

The space usage should be limited. It`s abnormal if one software is trying to occupy all free disk space.

Also, i found EmbyServer are continuously writing data(2MB/s) even if i do not access emby content on my Emby server.

Would need to see logs to determine what is being written.  Normally transcode sessions are cleaned up after a properly stop playback session.  

Do you have any conversions setup?  Possibly interval images being created?

 

4.7 has some changes in reference to low disk space and transcoding cleanup.

• Clean HLS segments during playback when disk space is low
