Sephirod 0 Posted April 30, 2022 Posted April 30, 2022 (edited) Hello, So I've had this problem since starting using Emby last week. I would scan / refresh metadata, then pick and choose some pictures to modify some default ones, it would stay as it is for a few launches of Emby Server, and then the day after or whatever, it will all be gone except for background pictures, logos, art (not all of them) and some miraculously untouched ones. Leaving me with libraries looking like this : Before that metadata was also completely gone, but I solved the issue by enabling saving nfos. I edited the metadata folder path, but I don't think that should bring any issues. But when looking at the logs, I have this : System.IO.DirectoryNotFoundException: System.IO.DirectoryNotFoundException: Could not find a part of the path 'E:\Temp\metadata\library\1a\1a5a5e9bc1d1963ae7756db1be9e7c6a\poster.jpg'. And I don't know why, because when I go there, for some of these errors, the folder is still there. But the poster.jpg is gone somehow Do I have to also enable the Saving Pictures with Media option to get rid of this issue ? I would've prefer to avoid that but if it's the only way... Especially when the cast pictures also disappears every time it does that. So I have to refresh metadata (search missing option) every single name and it comes back. Even the ones I've set a custom URL image for, disappears. Also I noticed that if I go in a profile to edit the picture and hit the search icon it won't show all the pictures actually available (sometimes none), because when I go back and refresh metadata for missing info and then retry to look for pictures, there's more. But that's just a detail. Edited April 30, 2022 by Sephirod

Solution Luke 42085 Posted April 30, 2022 Solution Posted April 30, 2022 Hi, looks like your customized the location of the server metadata folder to a temp location which gets frequently cleared out and that explains your issue
Sephirod 0 Posted April 30, 2022 Author Posted April 30, 2022 Yeah, I'm gonna try and move it somewhere else to see if it still occurs. Thank you
