For the umpteenth time I'm hving to go through my video collection and custom select poster and backdrop images.

If you're goinig to write a software that allows customization by the user, you should insure the program doesn't overwrite or discard those changes.

I just reinstalled Emby after reinstalling Win10Pro and the program is replacing many of the image selections I've made with computer defaults.

It remains to be seen just how much rework I'm going to have to do after the program is finished.

Note: I have not done anything including refreshing metadata yet. The program is in fully automated mode and scanning libraries..

Have you configured Emby to save artwork alongside the media files for that library? If not, you probably should - that way Emby won't attempt to download anything regardless of whether you reinstall again.

Yes if not saved with media you could lose all customization unless you maintain the entire programgdata folder as if not saved with media the database is required to ensure /metadata/library items are maintained.

But if you are saving with media then we will need to go over a specific example.

hi, if you reinstalled the server that makes it a brand new installation. How are you expecting it to get images from your previous installation?

The program draws on images already on the drives. Most have been reused. Anyway, The images that were used initially seem to have been replaced by my selsctions. The defaults seem to have been replaced by my earlier selections, so I'm closing this issue.

As it turned out, only one drive was affected. Some of the images were reused but many wrere replaced with defaults.
