RDSII64 4 Posted April 28, 2022 Posted April 28, 2022 Last night my emby server was working properly. While I was at work there was a service outage at my home. For about 3 hours I could not access my emby server from outside my home because there was no internet. When I got home from work this morning, the internet was back up but I'm getting error 522. My ports are forwarded and the internal IP hasn't changed. On the cloudflare dashboard Nothing seems be different. I can't find anything else to check but something is obviously wrong. Any help is appreciated.
Luke 42079 Posted April 28, 2022 Posted April 28, 2022 Hi there, is the traffic even reaching your Emby Server? Do you see any entries in the emby server log related to that, and/or are there cloudfare logs you can look at to find out?

RDSII64 4 Posted April 29, 2022 Author Posted April 29, 2022 I think I may want to try something other than cloudflare. What would you suggest?
RDSII64 4 Posted April 29, 2022 Author Posted April 29, 2022 I have never used that before. If there is a tutorial, I'm game.
Q-Droid 989 Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 Lost internet for a few hours? Chances are your WAN IP address changed.

Thats exactly what happen, and it took me until today to find the issue.I'm quite embarrassed I missed that. My emby server is back up and running. I do have a question. When this happens again, will dynamic dns update the new wan ip for me.
Q-Droid 989 Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 Yes, a DDNS updater would take care of this if/when it happens again. Did you have one that didn't work or just got one?
