markyp 38 Posted April 26, 2022 Posted April 26, 2022 Up until recently Emby has been working great, but for some reason there are some recorded shows that are not being picked up correctly by the fetchers and I end up with all of the Recordings in a 'Season Unknown' state. What is strange is that the episode description is being picked up correctly - see second attachment... have included the log file if this helps. embyserver-63786355200.txt
Luke 42078 Posted April 26, 2022 Posted April 26, 2022 Hi, what metadata fetchers are enabled on the library and in what order? Does the top provider have an episode for that date?
markyp 38 Posted April 28, 2022 Author Posted April 28, 2022 see attachment below... TVDB does have an entry for match of the day but it's a different number to that in the log...
markyp 38 Posted April 28, 2022 Author Posted April 28, 2022 according to TVDB the episode ID is: https://thetvdb.com/series/match-of-the-day/episodes/9111641 and yet the server log is looking for: 2022-04-23 22:17:07.422 Info HttpClient: GET https://api4.thetvdb.com/v4/search?type=series&q=EP01261411&remote_id=EP01261411 2022-04-23 22:17:07.756 Info HttpClient: GET https://api4.thetvdb.com/v4/search?type=series&q=SH01261411&remote_id=SH01261411 2022-04-23 22:17:08.106 Info HttpClient: GET https://api4.thetvdb.com/v4/search?type=series&q=EP01261411&remote_id=EP01261411 2022-04-23 22:17:08.440 Info HttpClient: GET https://api4.thetvdb.com/v4/search?type=series&q=SH01261411&remote_id=SH01261411 2022-04-23 22:17:08.777 Info App: MovieDbProvider: Finding id for item: Match of the Day (1964) 2022-04-23 22:17:08.777 Info HttpClient: GET https://api.themoviedb.org/3/search/tv?api_key=x_secret1_x&query=Match of the Day&language=en&first_air_date_year=1964 2022-04-23 22:17:09.092 Info HttpClient: GET https://api.themoviedb.org/3/tv/224?api_key=x_secret1_x&append_to_response=credits,images,keywords,external_ids,videos,content_ratings&language=en&include_image_language=en,null 2022-04-23 22:17:09.383 Info HttpClient: GET https://api4.thetvdb.com/v4/series/109411/extended?meta=translations 2022-04-23 22:17:10.184 Info HttpClient: GET https://webservice.fanart.tv/v3/tv/109411?api_key=x_secret4_x 2022-04-23 22:17:10.674 Info App: Creating Season Season Unknown entry for Match of the Day 2022-04-23 22:17:10.681 Info HttpClient: GET https://api4.thetvdb.com/v4/series/109411/episodes/official?page=0 2022-04-23 22:17:11.854 Info HttpClient: GET https://api4.thetvdb.com/v4/series/109411/episodes/official?page=1 2022-04-23 22:17:12.672 Info HttpClient: GET https://api4.thetvdb.com/v4/series/109411/episodes/official/eng?page=0 2022-04-23 22:17:13.851 Info HttpClient: GET https://api4.thetvdb.com/v4/series/109411/episodes/official/eng?page=1
Luke 42078 Posted April 28, 2022 Posted April 28, 2022 I think we found the right series but the guide data may not have enough info to determine exactly which episode of the day that it is.
markyp 38 Posted April 28, 2022 Author Posted April 28, 2022 this was ok, up until recently when it stopped? anything changed?

I have the same issue with 'Match of the Day 2' which doesn't have a repeat episode the next day...
markyp 38 Posted April 28, 2022 Author Posted April 28, 2022 the other thing is that the episode is being described correctly: Gary Lineker introduces highlights of Saturday’s six Premier League fixtures, including the clash between top-four rivals Arsenal and Manchester United. where is it getting that from but then failing to put the season and episode numbers in the meta data?

The guide data probably just didn't have season and episode numbers.

Luke 42078 Posted May 10, 2022 Posted May 10, 2022 OK it's because the guide data gives us a zap2itid which we try to use to look it up on tvdb, and since tvdb doesn't have that id on file you get no results. I'm pushing an update to the tvdb plugin to have this fallback to searching by name in that case. 1
