Film metadata corrupt.

I logged onto my Emby server this morning and much of the film metadata appears to be corrupt.
The Intern (2015)
Is showing the correct picture, however is labelled as:
The Lady in the Van (2015)
The synopsis is for Lady in the Van
The tagline is for The Intern.

The file is called:

The Intern (2015) [imdb-tt2361509].mp4

It hasn't happened for my TV Series, and hasn't happened for all my films, so not sure what's gone wrong.

I've told emby to refresh all metadata but that hasn't made any difference. If I identify a film it then gets the correct information.

Please advise how I can fix this. Also anything I can do to prevent this re-occurring.

There are no sqlite errors in the logs.

Thank you,

Is your parent movie folder multi-movie folder or each movie has appropriate subfolder?

Each movie has it's own folder.

Films\The Intern (2015)\The Intern (2015) [imdb-tt2361509].mp4

Full path listed above. :)

I know that that had the correct information previously as well, which is the odd thing.

Oh and the server is running on an UPS and hasn't had the power "killed".

The server is on an SSD as well, though the films are on RAID 5 HDD.

Then you should put providerid in folder name, not filename, and rescan. Syntax to be used is either tmdbid, imdbid ot tvdbid.

Films\The Intern (2015) [imdbid=tt2361509]\The Intern (2015).mp4

ID Tags in Folder & File Names

Emby can also read a Meta-Data ID from the name.

Format:

Name (Year) [tmdbid=xxxx]

Example:

Alone (2020) [tmdbid=509635]

Emby supports the following tags with the host website for lookup.

tmdbid  (https://www.themoviedb.org/)

imdbid  (https://www.imdb.com/)

tvdbid  (https://thetvdb.com/)

There should not be, it's only tmdb mismatch, but you can post logs anyway.

Would have to see server log/s but Emby Identifies by foldername not filename.  But previously identified movies should not just up and change even if you Refreshed the entire library.

Do you save metadata with media?

Has your libraries gone offline or disconnect from Emby?

KB may need tweaked on the wording but have not tested this in awhile.

It's not only that.

Some have the wrong images, others have the wrong synopsis.

They had the correct information previously.

But I'll happily get that changed, thank you.

Impossible to say without logs from when it happened.

But guess you do not save metadata with media as it sounds like media was purged from the database and re-imported.  But that is only a guess.

Do you save metadata with media? That is ticked, yes.

Has your libraries gone offline or disconnect from Emby? No, both Emby and the library are in the same physical box.

If there is a nfo with media and everything was correct previously then do you have other programs touch the nfo file as Emby reads the file and will not change external providerids.

Minus items having conflicting providerids I don't see how what you have described is possible.  But would need to see server logs and possibly a nfo file for a specific example.
