emby connect password reset

I've been setting up test seedboxes for a few days and I've had to sign into connect may times.  Today it fails with the username password not correct message.  Got tired of dealing with it to selected forgot password.  It asked for my email and sent me a link.  I typed in the new password and when I hit the SAVE button I was instantly brought to the forum already signed in.   The new password does not work in emby connect.  (I used copy paste from a text file to create and enter it so I was not mistyping).

 

Any thoughts?   why was I logging in and out.  Just my business but I was trying to change servers and the new server wich I linked to the connect account (as I've done several time in the last day) wasn't showing up so I was going to sign in again to see if it showed up.

Hi, what emby app are you trying to sign in using emby connect?

opps see I missed the obvious not telling that - it was my android and roku apps.  Now many hours later I get home and the login works with the original password.  Not sure which password I rest!

 

It's probably a moot point.  I cannot access the emby server I set up.  It now shows up on my android & roku apps when I'm signed into connect, but it immediately fails with an unable to connect to that server right now on the android app.  On the roku it takes a few seconds then pops me back to the select server screen with no message.  If I try to enter  the host manually it takes longer to fail with a timeout message.  I'm not a hero user but I've set up about 12 emby servers on vps's and computers (for friends and family) so I'm fairly comfortable.  I compared the settings and they all look the same but the Remote (wan) address fails every time.

 

Well shoot I hijacked my own thread.  I guess I'll just cancel the ultra.cc/ultraseedbox vps since I can't test it.

OK, the whole connection issue boiled down to ultraseedbox assigned a different port to emby.  Not sure how that works (prob a config file?) anyway I thought that was just for connecting and administering and that the apps would use the 8096 port.  Nope,using the 14454 port it connected.  This is the first seedbox I've used like this where all the apps/programs are administered through web interfaces.  The other 2 I've tested had novnc and x2go and thinlinc installed so I just remote controlled the linux dist.
