ozziegt 0 Posted April 23, 2022 Posted April 23, 2022 (edited) I've been banging my head against this for a day now. I moved a folder to a new drive using "rsync -a". The permissions on the folder and all the files are the same as before. I removed the old folder from the library and added the new folder, and Emby is not scanning it. I created a new library with the folder, emby is not scanning it. I deleted my original library, created a new library with the folder and emby is not scanning it. There is nothing in the logs to tell me why it isn't scanning. I've attached the logs where I performed the following steps: Restart the server Create a new library with the folder as the only folder (/extra/Stuff) - I know emby can read the folder because it shows me the contents of the folder in the browser Scan library for just the folder Scan library for the entire server As you can see in the attached logs, nothing happens. I'm losing my mind. Is there somewhere that will provide more information as to what is going on? This is a folder of various unstructured videos so I am using the folder type "Home Videos". embyserver.txt Edited April 23, 2022 by ozziegt
ozziegt 0 Posted April 23, 2022 Author Posted April 23, 2022 Just an update, instead of adding the parent folder (/extra/Stuff), I added the subfolders individually, and that is working. Odd.
Luke 42078 Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 Hi, that's strange. The next release of emby server will have an update to the embedded version of the .net runtime which might help at it has a lot of file system related changes.
