Daisuke88 3 Posted April 18, 2022 Posted April 18, 2022 (edited) As the tittle says, running ubuntu 20.04, I just got ssl working via WAN with my domain, All works well but I just cant seem to access my server securely using the localhost:8920. Just trying to do this so that I can cast my music to my nest hubs and stuff. I can access the server securely using my domain which is configured with cloudflare etc, and also locally using 8096 any thoughts on this? Edited April 18, 2022 by Daisuke88
Luke 42077 Posted April 18, 2022 Posted April 18, 2022 Hi, this isn't a surprise because the certificate is associated with the domain, right? Therefore it should only work with that. 1
Daisuke88 3 Posted April 18, 2022 Author Posted April 18, 2022 I see, im still learning. Thank you for the response
CassTG 113 Posted April 18, 2022 Posted April 18, 2022 If you have a pihole or adguard home running you could add a dns rewrite rule. That's what I do for my local dockers. Can run them on a pi or vm. Although you would have to set your router to use the agh or pihole instance as your dns server but then you also get adblocking for all devices chucked in for free.
