Carlost24 0 Posted April 16, 2022 Posted April 16, 2022 Good Day I have a problem with the season posters. Some of the selected (through emby image editor) look blurry when aplied even though they are quite high resolution to begin with (1000x1426). In the example pic attached the poster for the second season is sharp and the poster for the first season and the specials is blurry. I don't understand why there is such a diffrence in quality between those two. Does it have something to do with where the image is coming from? Im using firefox in windowed mode. Has someone an idea to get rid of the blurry images and make them look sharp? Thanks in advance.

Luke 42085 Posted April 16, 2022 Posted April 16, 2022 Hi, if you refresh the page in the browser, does that look different?
ebr 16193 Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 If you look at them with "Edit images", are the resolutions different?
Carlost24 0 Posted April 17, 2022 Author Posted April 17, 2022 yes the first season is 1000x1426 and the second one is 1500x2250
Carlost24 0 Posted April 17, 2022 Author Posted April 17, 2022 Is there an ideal resolution they should be so that everytime the look sharp? Or is there a solution to always display the images at their original resolution? Maybe something I could do with css?
Happy2Play 9783 Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 Does the same thing happen in a different browser? Have you tried clearing the browser cache? Have you tried clearing Emby's image cache? Emby \Cache\Images folder
Carlost24 0 Posted April 17, 2022 Author Posted April 17, 2022 Tried it in Chrome the posters look the same Cleared the browser cache in Firefox Deleted the folder inside the Images folder The posters still look the same
roaku 842 Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 I'm just guessing here, but that guess is that it's about the aspect ratio of the 'blurry' images being not quite poster-ish, not the resolution itself.
Carlost24 0 Posted April 17, 2022 Author Posted April 17, 2022 After some testing with different resolutions it looks like an aspect ratio of 2:3 is handled quite good when scaled to fit But the 1000x1426 resolution doesn't scale good Is there a way to use these 1000x1426 (most of them if not all come frome fanart.tv) posters without causing scaling problems? Because some of them look real nice and the original images look quite poster-ish maybe a bit on the wider site but not by much
Luke 42085 Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 We can look at possible improvements. Thanks for the update.
