13Boosted 1 Posted April 7, 2022 Posted April 7, 2022 I edited the XML file on my cpu so movies like "A Good Day To Die Hard" actually shows up under "A" and not "G". Everything looks good on my server, but the Roku app still displays the movie under "G". I've removed the server from the app, removed the app, and restarted the Roku and reinstalled the app and the titles still show up different than my server. Any way to fix this? I only use the Roku to watch my movies, so if I can't get it to display correctly on the app, it kind of defeated the point of editing the XML File. Thanks
ebr 16169 Posted April 7, 2022 Posted April 7, 2022 Hi. What, exactly, did you edit? You can edit the server configuration file to not ignore those articles in sorts...
13Boosted 1 Posted April 7, 2022 Author Posted April 7, 2022 Hello, I opened the XML file and changed the <SortRemoveWords> so movies that start with a, an, and the, are displayed with those words first. I didn't want to edit every movie separately. It works on my server, but it did not change on the Roku app.
13Boosted 1 Posted April 7, 2022 Author Posted April 7, 2022 I manually changed the sort for "The 6th Day" on the server and it moved it to the "T" section on the Roku app. I was hoping that editing the XML would also change it on the Roku app, but it only changed on the server. I'm new to Emby, so I'm not sure if there is another way other than changing each file individually. Thanks
Happy2Play 9780 Posted April 7, 2022 Posted April 7, 2022 Was thinking SortName, but your example shows web client working and Roku not. What server and Roku app version (something just doesn't look right in the Roku image)? 1
13Boosted 1 Posted April 7, 2022 Author Posted April 7, 2022 The server version is 4.6.7.0. and the Roku app version is 4.0 build 46. Thanks

Is that same library?

13Boosted 1 Posted April 7, 2022 Author Posted April 7, 2022 (edited) Here are better images of the same folder on the server and the Roku app. Thanks Edited April 7, 2022 by 13Boosted updated images
GrimReaper 4739 Posted April 7, 2022 Posted April 7, 2022 (edited) Did you intentionally not make a Movie-type library, though it appears you have only movies there? That looks like Home videos & photos-type one? Can you share a screenshot of your Settings>Library tab on your browser? Edited April 7, 2022 by GrimReaper
13Boosted 1 Posted April 7, 2022 Author Posted April 7, 2022 I made every one "mixed content", because I didn't like how it combined certain files.
13Boosted 1 Posted April 7, 2022 Author Posted April 7, 2022 I'm in the middle of testing all of my files to see which ones work and which ones don't, so it's kind of a jumbled mess right now.

Hm, even Mixed content library should have few tabs in header that your browser ain't showing. Sorry to be blunt, but are you positive that's the right type? (Hence a screenshot was asked above).
GrimReaper 4739 Posted April 7, 2022 Posted April 7, 2022 (edited) I am honestly puzzled as to why you're seeing what you're seeing. Do you have any custom CSS? Edit: Ahhhh, I'm not paying attention, your screenshots are not of a top-level library, but of a folder within. Naturally no tabs. That's what was puzzling me. 13Boosted 1 Posted April 7, 2022 Author Posted April 7, 2022 I do not, I guess I'm not sure what I'm missing...lol. I can update each file individually and it will update on the Roku app, it's just going to take more time. Thanks
ebr 16169 Posted April 8, 2022 Posted April 8, 2022 Hi. The web app is sorted by "File Name". That is why you are getting a different order.
