Apple Watch controls don't work

When watching anything on Emby on my iPhone I can't pause or go forward or back using my watch.  The only thing I can do is turn down the volume.  I also can't access the library from the watch.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open Emby App on Phone
2. Play a show or movie
3. Look at watch and see Emby controls
4. Press on any control

The volume can be adjusted via the digital crown/home button.
