PaperPlayn 7 Posted April 4, 2022 Posted April 4, 2022 For a few of my albums, I have established backdrop images for individual songs. In the past, this feature has worked, but now it seems mostly not to. I noticed specifically when, a few days ago, I upgraded via the .apk to the latest (3.2.44) Android app. But I have the same issue in my Windows web player. I am on Emby Server version 4.6.7.0. I can update if it'll help, but I have not observed anything the changelogs for more recent versions about this issue and it appears to be app-based since it worked previously. For reference, here is my image setup. In this case my song backdrop is square. My TV Roku app (4.0.46; I have not tested the latest Beta) does display the song's backdrop image, as expected, but it squashes the square image to fit the 16:9 frame, which I'm not sure is ideal. In Windows (Chromium) web player, when I click on the song itself, the backdrop is auto-generated from the album's Primary art. On my Android app, a few days ago, I got my expected behavior: the backdrop I had assigned to the song, but not squished into the frame. (Unsure of version, but it was whatever was current on Google Play... before the app disappeared there.) After manually updating to app v. 3.2.44, however, I now get the same as on the web player: I'm curious about what broke the old/expected function and whether it can be returned? Thank you!
Luke 42081 Posted April 7, 2022 Posted April 7, 2022 Hi @PaperPlayn, have you explored the app display settings?
PaperPlayn 7 Posted April 7, 2022 Author Posted April 7, 2022 Well, yep, that seems to fix it. I missed that setting. Thank you! and sorry for the oversight.
