Music - General folders not supported?

I saw old postings that stated that music HAS to be in some sort of artist / album like structure. 

I am thinking this is my issue as when I create a Music library pointing to folders filled with loose mp3s, nothing is detected. 

I dont care about entire albums...I enjoy SPECIFIC songs in albums and artists. I dont care about filler tracks. And thus dont want dozens or hundreds of album or artist folders for just 1 or few songs each. 

Instead I have genre folders. Like "90's", which has the 90s songs I love and listen to. Its one folder with all the songs loose inside. 

So is this NOT supported???? 
I understand that would make it harder for Emby to scrape stuff...but at this point i dont care about scrapping. They can all have the file name displayed and a generic album gif. I just want to be able to play the music.

Hi, starting with Emby Server 4.6 this is no longer true. Emby supports a mish-mash of loose audio files if that's what you have. Any structure is supported.

From Folder view in 4.7+ yes, all other tabs are dependent on embedded track metadata/provider metadata.

And screen shot of my Folders view in Emby and its content. 
Weirdly, some folders have some Mp3s identified but usually only a handful vs the full amount.  I've tried re-scanning.

Cant really take a massive screenshot but there is nothing but .mp3 files. No playlists. Not text files or album cover art. Literally just a folder of .mp3s as shown in the above partial screenshot of contents. 

The structure is super basic. Music folder. Then the genre folder. So :

Music - 90s 
Music - 2000s
etc...

The Music folder is the folder I have set as the library directory. I dont need to add each and every genre folder do i?

In Emby what folders did you add to the music library?

I created a folder "2000's" in my music library and dropped 30 tracks in that folder and they display in folder view in that folder both stable and beta servers.

Thanks All. I appreciate the time for your feedback. 

Luke, you can delete this post or lock it. I got it working. I redid the folder structure a bit, deleted the old Library. 

I added the individual folders first...that seemed to work. I then made a new library with one level up that has the genre folders within..and for some reason that kick started it and got it working.
