jriker1 21 Posted March 27, 2022 Posted March 27, 2022 (edited) I always have a problem with the General Hospital soap opera that the thumbnails and metadata do not match the show. So take if I pull up metadata on this episode with mediainfo I get: Which is accurate. Again if I select episode 81 thru Google matches: In Emby for that episode I see: Seems like it may be metadata from a July episode. Looking on TVDB I see General Hospital - Tuesday, July 27, 2021 - TheTVDB.com which seems to be maybe where Emby is getting it's info from which they think is Season 59 Episode 81? Happy2Play 9784 Posted March 27, 2022 Posted March 27, 2022 Yep unfortunately this has come up before for this show really the only options here I believe is removing TVDBid from Series and locking it so only TMDB is used. Or the pain of adjusting to what TVDB is doing. General Hospital - Monday, January 10, 2022 - TheTVDB.com is S59E194 vs https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/987-general-hospital/season/59/episode/81
jriker1 21 Posted March 31, 2022 Author Posted March 31, 2022 So I tried going to Settings > Library. Clicked on the three dots next to TV Shows Unchecked TVDB Ran a scan again. No change.

jriker1 21 Posted March 31, 2022 Author Posted March 31, 2022 I did, defaults to that. Even checked Replace all images.
Happy2Play 9784 Posted March 31, 2022 Posted March 31, 2022 (edited) And your Episode downloader settings? Note image downloader will need altered also at least for episodes. Edited March 31, 2022 by Happy2Play 1
GrimReaper 4762 Posted March 31, 2022 Posted March 31, 2022 Have you done this: On 3/27/2022 at 4:32 PM, Happy2Play said: removing TVDBid from Series and locking it so only TMDB is used. If you did, remove Series folder from parent TV shows folder, scan, return it, scan again.
jriker1 21 Posted March 31, 2022 Author Posted March 31, 2022 (edited) That was it boom!!! Didn't update the Episode downloader area also to remove TVDB. So that's global for that whole library then right, no way to eliminate TVDB for just General Hospital? Don't want to break it out completely separately from the rest of the TV Shows. EDIT: Kind of messed up now. Like I had The Voice Australia and now reporting as The Voice in the US and episodes from there instead of Australia. Thumbnails I think used to come from TVDB but now are like stretched images that look like they came from the source video. Edited March 31, 2022 by jriker1

Yes, your current settings are global and will affect all series. Since you are set now, you should be able to lock the Series and ensure there is no TVDB at Series level and then reenable TVDB at library level and new episodes should not be able to query TVDB since you do not have a TVDB Series id. Note there is a catch here as you have to unlock the Season as the lock at series level inherits to all other levels. So any new item will not fetch as all levels were locked. Example lock Series then unlocked Season. This can be done via Metadata Manager or via item details pages. Edited March 31, 2022 by Happy2Play
Happy2Play 9784 Posted April 1, 2022 Posted April 1, 2022 @Lukesituations like this we need a lock for Series level providerids or the ability to set provider at Series level. But the workaround shown above will work but Series level info will never be updated.
