Trust9 1 Posted March 27, 2022 Posted March 27, 2022 Hi, I have a problem with some entries. One example: Gold The movie is listed once in the database If I want to start the movie in an app, I have to choose between two identical versions. I have this problem with about 40% of all entries. Now I have seen that the same file is entered twice in the database. But there is only one file in the folder. How can I solve this problem? Server is up to date Thank you
Luke 42085 Posted March 27, 2022 Posted March 27, 2022 Hi, that's really odd. Are you running the server on windows?
Happy2Play 9783 Posted March 27, 2022 Posted March 27, 2022 Haven't seen this one in a while, as I could see this randomly. But believe I saw virtual and real items in TV. Does clicking "Split Versions Apart" correct the issue? But for a lot of items this will be problematic and believe the only solution is a new library path as removing and re-adding the same folder path may not purge the database completely.
Trust9 1 Posted March 28, 2022 Author Posted March 28, 2022 thank you very much for the answers. yes it is a windows server. where can I find this setting "Split Versions Apart" ? Do you think I really need to delete and re-import the whole library? Some movies were misidentified during scanning and I had to correct it manually. Do I have to do it all over again, or will the correct entry be saved in the nfo files? I would not like to change the path. Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version)

CharleyVarrick 283 Posted March 30, 2022 Posted March 30, 2022 (edited) If I may barge in, I had same issue a while back. 1) You might have more of those than you think; look at "date added" (to Emby), then check other movies around that date. 2) Once you have identified all dupes, remove them (temporarily) from parent folder, scan libray and move them back in. Trust9 1 Posted April 1, 2022 Author Posted April 1, 2022 thank you very much for your help. Unfortunately neither helps 1. does clicking "Split Versions Apart" correct the issue? @Happy2Play 2. look at "date added @CharleyVarrick i guess i will have to clear the database and then rescan it I would like to backup the database first. In which path is the database? the server runs on Windows

In which path is the database? the server runs on Windows OK so you dont have a date pattern. In my case, it was all movies added spanning 3 months. Please try this: Move out an affected movie folder out of monitored parent; and then, quickly (before Emby RT monitor finds out), hit Delete (trashcan) on Emby movie page. Once its disappeared from Emby, move your movie back to monitored library and see if its fixed. Edited April 2, 2022 by CharleyVarrick
Trust9 1 Posted April 4, 2022 Author Posted April 4, 2022 thank you both I have now given up and rescanned the library
Happy2Play 9783 Posted April 4, 2022 Posted April 4, 2022 Unfortunately, this might not be a fixable issue on your current database. If you created a New test library with a new folder path and moved a couple items that have this issue, does the same thing happen?
