Problems with Movie Metadata

Recommended Posts

Posted

Running Win 10 and just switched to Emby from Plex which seems too problematic and losing connection frequently. Using the same libraries as Plex. Same paths. Does Emby treat Folders differently to Plex?

My TV show (only have one in my library so far) has retrieved the data, actors headshots etc fine, but Movies are showing as 'Series' and not retrieving information, only screengrabs on the 'poster'. Log attached which seems to be relevant attached.

Can anyone help me please? Thank you.

Sean.

How does your folder structure look like? What are library paths?

Edit: Emby Movie Naming : Emby

Has  Library scan finished?  It is normal during initial import to not see a Poster for items.

But your flat movies structure should not be a issue but is not the preferred structure.

How are your files named and organized? How did you setup the libraries in Emby Server?

...same drive and path set up for TV Series as well. That seems ok, just the movies not correctly shown.

Hi mate, your movie library is a little disorganized but it should still work.. :)

Can you give us a look at the advanced settings for that movie lib, have you had a look yourself?

Most of the movies you posted in the screen grab should be picked up, not too sure why your having a problem, strange!

Maybe its because your using a flat & nested structure for your movies but that's just a total guess and properly has nothing to do with it.

Can you share a screenshot of your Settings>Library tab (where all your libraries are listed)?

Great. Now please screenshot of your "TV shows" library paths.

I've had a tidy up and about to scan again now, to eliminate the slightly unstructured layout.

Scanning now and it's picking up completely the wrong movie information. Troy is Helena of Troye (a foreign language version of the film)

Would need to see the log where Emby got metadata for this item.  Or for other specific examples.

Yes, I will determine which log and post back here so you have something more to go on. Still not sure also why Movies are appearing under Series

A few screenshots, just on one movie which is showing the incorrect information - Troy (2004). Appearing as Helen of Troy. Also attached the 'Identify' when right clicking on the title and the Metadata view.

I have fetched metadata just for this library entry and attached the log to this post.

Attempt No.3:

Sorry for being slow to respond on this. My one TV show (so far) is actually fine. When I click on TV Shows in Emby, I get all my content as well. Movies etc. Screenshot attached (TV3). Hoping the other screenshots are what you are wanting.
