BPM, key & energy level from MP3 tags + ability to sort and search

Hi,

Could you please add to the list and general view, BPM, key & energy level that can be found in MP3 tags?

Also, possibility to sort and search by BPM, key & energy level.

Is it possible for users to have their own playlists?

MIX IN KEY  and DJ Pools are updating those details as well.

With these possibilities Emby would be perfect for DJs.

I could not find any media server that reads and shows this data and from which a playlist can be created and exported with mp3 files to a USB stick.

You could also add a new DJ view instead of modifying an existing one.

Hi,

No. It seems to be a very specific use case "DJ" that is not applicable to me. 

I did a quick check and Picard does have a plugin for BPM. (see below).  It is linux only with a couple of external dependencies, so  again  I can't comment.

At least the BPM and Key tags would be nice if there were shown on big screens.

And i had thougt about it for some time but would it be possible to create a auto mix function with this information so it would take songs with a BPM range 120-130 some keys and from the same genre as example

i just wanted to ask if there is any update on the request.

The Key features to show the BPM & Key which are stored in the mp3 Tags would be very nice.

The Auto Play Function from my last Post would also be very nice to see but if i remember correctly i had seen a new request about roughly the same thing

Perhaps the plugin mentioned in this current topic may be useful for you... BUT ALSO...

In general (in case you don't know already) you can get any of your individual song/track embedded Tags, that Emby doesn't support now, into Emby using ROONTRACKTAG. While the following approach is not a magic silver bullet, it can be quite useful:

• In Mp3tag, bulk copy wanted tags to a custom ROONTRACKTAG field.
• Rescan relevant files in Emby to import them into Emby Tags.
• Then, use the Smart Playlists plugin to create smart playlists based on these Tags.

I'm fairly certain you'll figure out the details, if it's of any benefit for you? Cheers!

@user24i want to avoid any "third party integrations" as to make Emby as whole as possible. I would prefer not to jankily copy-paste files and cross my fingers it won't mess up my installation (as there is no guarantee obviously). 

Still, looking at this FR mine was a duplicate and I would like to have access to extra meta for songs as well and also filters / sort by them.
