Blank Screen on Resume overnight sometimes (Sony Google TV)

Hi all,

I have an Sony A80J with Google TV and the Emby App installed.  Everything works really well, except sometimes I find that the app starts up with a blank (black) screen. This means i either have to restart the TV or go into settings --> apps and force stop.

I believe this is because I've left it open and it's crashed while the TV is off.  It happens every two or three days.

Is there some way I can view a trace log on the Android App to see what's going on?

Is this common?

I've come from a Plex background and find the Emby app to be superior, except in this one area.

I would be disappointed if such a simple thing stopped me from using the Emby App - as the force stop is a bit difficult to expect the wife/kids to know and a restart takes quite a few minutes to do.

Hi.  Go into the general settings in the app and be sure to select an auto logoff time (maybe an hour) and see if that helps.

Thanks.  I've turned it on to one hour and I'll see how it goes.

OK, thanks for the info - seems to have done the trick.

Will post back if it starts doing it again.
