Disable file deletion upon deleting show?

Is there an option for this I'm just not seeing? If I remove a show from emby, I do not want it touching my files, I'd like for emby to have no control of removing my actual files

No there is no option to remove/delete an item in Emby and not the filesystem.  Now this applies to items not virtual items like Collections or Playlists.  

You have to manually place a ".ignore" file in a folder for Emby to ignore/remove that item from Emby and still exist in filesystem.

The easiest thing to do would be to disable "file deletion" and handle the removal of shows by simply using the operating system to move the files to where Emby can't see them. That is what I do. I use Emby to watch content but all file handling is done by the operating system.

Emby is a media organizing and display system but Emby should not be a file manager. It is a mistake, I believe, to have Emby deleting files. There are too many things that can go wrong and Emby does not really display enough info to really know much about the file system.
