Hello All,

I have been using Emby for a long time now. Since last week my Samsung TV cannot play any media / live TV anymore , it has been working fine since years. I can however play the media on phone/ website on laptop.

The tizen app is the latest on the tv.

App: Emby for Samsung 1.2.4
Samsung Smart TV (UE48JU6050)

No idea how to go forward. Anyone else has the same issue?

Could you also provide the server log during the same time? Thanks.

If your server log has external IP addresses, etc which you don't want made public you can PM the log to Luke.

Also, how many subtitles are in that first file?  It looks like a lot.

Ahh, thanks H2P---missed the index number in there.

There is a problem with apps running on Tizen in that it can only handle roughly 30 total tracks internally.  That includes video, audio, subs, etc.

@greenengineercan you remux that file removing any subs you don't need?  Then try it again and let us know.

We are looking into this so that you won't have to do that.

I removed all the subs and now it plays just fine.  Thanks for that..

Earlier, the same TV played the old files just fine , has there been a limit introduced recently? I havent changed anything from server end so.. . Hope this gets fixed soon coz it would be trouble to remove all the subs and  only then be able to play the files.

@Luke thanks

No. The Samsung video player just happens to have trouble with videos having large numbers of subtitles.

Hi, just curious, if you can be bothered and it doesn’t take you too long, can you try making a file with maybe only 25 subs and see if that still works? I’m interested to know roughly how many tracks your model TV can cope with. Thanks
