genuser 1 Posted March 17, 2022 Posted March 17, 2022 Hello. I managed to install emby on a debian 11 lxc. I have some media folders of tv shows and the folders are the names of the shows. The files within the folders are labeled according to their order ie s1e1 for season1 episode1. They are titled this way to keep them organized per my preference. When using the "Play All" button inside the folder the series plays but it always starts from the very first title and not from the last title I was watching. Is there any way to be able to "Play All" inside a folder and have emby start from the last file played? Thanks.

genuser 1 Posted March 17, 2022 Author Posted March 17, 2022 When connecting via the web browser or app (android tablet x2 or smart tv x2) the home dashboard loads and under the "My Media" section there is a folder labeled "Video". When I select the "Video" folder it then shows me the contents which includes folders and files. When I click on a folder that has the title of a series/show ie GOT it then shows me all the files in that folder listed in order per the file name. This is the point where I have the "Play All", "Shuffle" and other options. When I select "Play All" it will start from the first file in the name ie s1e1 and continue playing in sequence. It does not resume from the last file played.

Is this something like a setting I have missed or has it not been implemented? I think playing all in a folder and being able to choose to either restart from beginning (of file list) or resume from last file played would be a nice option.
Luke 42078 Posted March 21, 2022 Posted March 21, 2022 There is no setting, but if you click play on a tv series, then it will resume. But not currently at higher levels than that.
