Probably yes, I've to look into that matter.

I doubt that, I have a large library too and no problem.

Over 300 tb cough cough. Takes over night and some to finish. With artwork about 6-10 gbs at least on my nividia shield

I previously installed 7.9.2 over 7.9.1, run into issues since.

But today find out that the version on the plugin still 7.9.1, so tried to reinstall it to 7.9.2... but again jam and have to restart Kodi.. and still 7.9.1.

So I freshly re-install everything Kodi + 7.9.2... Sync everything and now seems to be good... Will let you know if anything else occurred!

I might have the same issue on another setup and will do the same to make it work... I'll keep you posted!

All good so far with 7.9.2

Greetings from Indonesia 🙂

Seems you and @Segerexperiencing the same issue. Something odd happened after you deleted an item on Emby server and next-gen is not able to identify the removed item. Not sure what actually caused this issue but I'll review it after vacation. Anyway, a DB reset should fix the issue. If not, shutdown Kodi and remove the emby database on Kodi manually. This should fix the issue.

Delete the following files:

../kodi/userdata/Database/emby_*

../kodi/userdata/Database/MyMusic82*

../kodi/userdata/Database/MyVideos119*

I'll also review the other reported issues when I'm back.

EDIT:

I think the issue appears when a complete library was removed from Emby server.

I performed multiple tests. I was not able to design a test case to reproduce this issue. Do you recall how you trigger this issue?

For the moment I added a fix based (included in next version) on your kodi.logs and the issue should not appear again, but it does not solve the core issue.

One thing I noticed with 7.9.2 (may be earlier but can't recall when this started with recent releases but definitely not in 7.2.0...probably started during the more recent artwork revamp for TV) is that for music the fanart background appears to be blank.

Using the default skin, no visualizations and playing any song the background would be the fanart for the artist whereas now its blank/black. Emby web still shows the "correct" background.

Upon further review, in this playback it looks like the album art was replaced by artist while the main artist view page still shows the correct album art.

See below, first image is Kodi play back with black background with setting shown for fanart, second is Emby web, third is the Artist/Album view in Kodi with proper Album art shown.

Found the issue, will be fixed in next version.

I can't remember, the only thing I can think of is that I updated the main version of emby.

Hi

strm files don’t seem to be working with 7.9.2

Can you check that please?

The test that I did:

Create a tv show with export function on Netflix plugin. Emby server import it to my tv shows with no problem, but when emby for kodi try to update the library just stops on that tv show.

Thank you

Please send me a test strm file (via PM). Not sure if you use Kodi plugin paths or http in your strm.

Regular strm files seems to work fine.

Any chance of adding a search for dynamic nodes?  My emby library is way to big to sync

Search option is on the todo list for 8.x version.

New version available 7.9.3:

Delta changelog:

add translations
fix item/library remove issue
fix playback crash when Emby content is invalid
fix dynamic nodes for identical content assinged to multiple Emby libraries
add emby options context menu support for dynamic nodes
fix music fanart

Comment:

Full db reset is required to change the music artwork
Be carefull using the dynamic nodes context menu delete option. Probably take a content backup first, due to limited testing.

7.9.3 addressed the music art.

ok, that's really much more as I ever tested. (40TB on my setup).

I added Emby options for dynamic content in 7.9.3. Be careful with the delete option! I just performed basic tests, but not each and every case.

Delta changelog:

add emby options context menu support for dynamic nodes

Thank you @quickmic for making these updates.  With this change I am now able to delete files from the dynamic nodes - so far, so good.  However I do have another question now - when I go to "View options" to change the layout, my choices are limited to: WideList (default), Wall, Gallery, Mosaic (Vertical and Horizontal), IconWall, Shift, and InfoWall.  In the WideList view, each video shows a screencap beside the video instead of its played/unplayed status.  I prefer it to show the played/unplayed status, which I believe is available in the "List" view, but I'm unable to select it.

I am using the Estuary Mod V2 for KN skin, and found the MyVideoNav.xml file contains the line for View_50_List, so I'm confused what I need to update to enable "List" as a view option for the Dynamic node content.  Or alternatively, how to show played/unplayed status instead of the screencap while under the WideList view.

Well, it's not about the listview mode. It's about list content definition.

I assume you use folders to browse your libraries. Folders have no dedicated content type and could include everything. TVShows, movies. pictures etc.

So the content of a Kodi list could include multiple content types, but the content type can only be defined for the whole listview (not per item).

Therefore a folder listview is currently undefined. That's the reason why it's not showing the watched/unwatched status. Not sure if I can fix it, cause if I'm "guessing" it could break other views.

I'll see what I can do.

Thanks for the explanation -- I will keep my fingers crossed you are able to come up with a workaround.  FWIW, I noticed that when I switch the view to "Gallery", the watched/unwatched status is visible.  I'm not sure if this is relevant to getting this status to appear in the WideList view, but it would seem to me that a hybrid of the 2 views is what I need.

I would like to come back to the problem. I sometimes notice that if I end an episode shortly before the end with the "x" keyboard or by stopping, the next episode in the "next" menu is not updated to the next one (no matter what I do, skin reload). The strange thing is that the episode I just watched is marked as watched (under the series itself), but not in the "next" menu. I've attached a log, maybe you can see something. can't always recreate it either, which is a pity.

Thank you and best regards

Your log shows "service.upnext" which is a 3rd party plugin and I'm not debugging those.

Let me know, if I misunderstood you and it's not about the nextup plugin.

After updating to LibreElec 10.0.3 about a week ago, new episodes added to my library are no longer showing up in Emby for Kodi (7.9.3) without resetting the library. The library in Emby for Kodi updates after deleting episodes if they are already in the library. But new TV show media does not show up. New movies added to the library show up...TV show episodes do not.

Your issue description is too general and I need a kodi.log for review.

First, you can try to set the: plugin menu -> sync -> last incremental sync... manually (before the episode was added). Not too far in the past, this would trigger a large incremental sync. Just a bit before the content was added.

Let me know if this adds the content. If yes, the incremental sync is ok and the realtime sync must cause the issue.

btw, incremental sync option is only available in Kodi "expert" menu-mode.

Ihr Protokoll zeigt "service.upnext", ein Plugin eines Drittanbieters, und ich debugge diese nicht.

Lassen Sie es mich wissen, wenn ich Sie missverstanden habe und es nicht um das Nextup-Plugin geht.

It's not about the Next up plugin, may be due to my translation, sorry!

It's about the widget "next episode" which I added per costum entry and which points to the video database next episode.

Have you compared the view of plugin's "next episode" with the one from Emby server? Is it different?

Yes, it was different there. So in the series, the seen status is set, but the widget does not update. As I said, not always, but every now and then and the log should show it if necessary. We have also updated the skin, but the view remains the same. After a restart, everything is clean.

What happens after a kodi restart. Is it sync?

btw, I'm asking those question, cause the plugin is not responsible for widget updates. The skin helpers are.

I try to figure out, if it's a plugin issue or a skin helper issue.

Yes exactly, it is simply synchronised after a Kodi restart. I never saw this in the 6 version, so maybe that helps.

Please send me a kodi.log when it happens again.

Also did you stop the video not just paused it? On pause the next-up will not be refreshed.
