Currently the plugin and the core are working together to move the intros across to the core and get the editior in place.  Both the Plugin and the core are inserting these markers. So if Kodi supports and can utilise these (available from the api) then sure there is no reason why not.

Very very good I like the "MarkerType". In current e4k version I'm "guessing" what's what. I'll add a proper support in one of the next version.

Just checked, bookmark labels seems not support by Kodi. I'll try a text overlay for the bookmark images.

It's a relatively new feature from emby (last couple of weeks) they may need to catch up to implement them... And it hasn't been widely communicated either as the Core team still need to develop a UI Editor for Start and End point.

is there a way to have nextup and continuing watching in the same widget? . i read on the infuse forum that emby was combining them a long while ago but i cant get it to work.

one thing i noticed since switching to 7 is the fanart for episodes is all the same for each episode(the show fanart) while in version 6 it was a pic from the episode ( not sure what that is called :))

Could be, but actually 7.x sounds correct. If fanart is requested by skin, it should display the TVShow fanart and not the (assuming) episode thumbs.

I think there are no episode specific fanarts available.

Bookmark/Chapter labels are not supported, there a text overlay for images is used. However, it uses the python PIL library which is also broken on some Kodi installations. e.g.:

Also it was not working on my osmc boxes even PIL is installed. It is working on ubuntu, anyway. Don't be supprised if you don't see the labels.

Also the native chapter images are working in addon mode for episodes. Actually it's a another Kodi bug, (in this case a fortunate one).

Usually, Kodi blocks thumbnail extractions for all sort of streams (god knows why). So I cannot native chapter support for the other content.

Full DB reset is mandatory to benefit from the new chapter markers.

just tried 7.0.2-build 58 and have no artwork at all

did a db reset and also tried fresh install of kodi with default skin

Thanks for the log. I just had a quick look, quite sure Kodi has not proper shut down. The webservice is not working but no other issue. This usually happens when Kodi is still running in the background. Restart Windows or kill all Kodi task via taskmanager.

restarted the pc and did another reinstall of kodi and still have the same problem . will wait for others to chime in and see if they have any issues

 

i will try and upgrade on a shield tv and see if that works

Yes possible, but very inconvenient for me while developing (actual version is used to determine if a mandatory database reset is required). I think I'll just increase the actual version for future releases.

In next version I'll add additional debug infos. Probably The text overlay has an issue. If so, only chapter images will be affected.

This was happening on one of my TVs but I had an older version.  I think it might have been 6.  I updated that TV to 7 and haven't had the issue again.
I'll keep an eye on it.  So far all 5 of my devices are working well.

When I watch something with this version, the plugin is double-counting plays on Trakt. It sends a watched time of when I began watching and when I finished. I'm not sure when it started, but I know it wasn't happening with 7.0.2 build 15.

Please try 7.0.4.

Not 100% sure if the trakt issue is fixed.
