Server name issue

After a system failure I reloaded Emby and named the Server the same (SRV).  Now when I create a new user or an existing user logs in they are presented with the server name (SRV) twice.  This creates much confusion and results in the correct server being chosen incorrectly half the time.  Is there a way to decommission the incorrect server?

First, you should rename your new server to something else, so they'll be easier to distinct, like SRV (New). Next, each user must Forget/Delete SRV server from their server list by three-dot menu/long-press (depending on the client app used).

Is there a procedure to rename the server? I would imagine that this would muck up those that have already successfully logged in to the correct server.

I had the same issue with multiple portable test systems on the same machine until I applied a custom name instead of hostname for all servers.  But cannot say how log it takes to update the currently cached select server list.

That is only the display name and won't impact connectivity.

But will the Select Server list update with new name or does one have to remove and readd server?

Not instantaneously but yes it will update.
