How to organize audiobooks?

Recommended Posts

Hi guys is there any guide for this, I followed recommended folder structure by emby but ended up having unstructured format! Also is there any community plugin?

Getting this structure under book  this should only show one book.

Also this is the folder structure

D:\Audiobooks\Robert Greene\The 48 Laws Of Power

Hi mate, this could be a simple tagging issue, but not sure from the screen grab, could need some more info. They all seem to have the same track number (1). If you added track info for each chapter that will work. Also the album name "48 Laws Of Power CD1 / CD2" etc.? Is that the Album Tag? Not sure if it is but give the tracks the same Album tag as well.. just "48 Laws Of Power" with the relevant track meta (Track 1,2,3.. etc)

Hope that helped somewhat. :)

Ok, yep the Album tag should be the same across all tracks "48 Laws Of Power". Also the # value is the track number they should correspond to the chapter count (1.2.3 etc.)

What OS are you running?

I run Linux and use Kid3 but if your on windows I've herd mp3tag is ok.

As you suggested i opened it with mp3tag this is how it looks, track number looks absurd but disc number looks proper

Ok I haven't used this program but I would suggest you first select all tracks and change the Album value to "48 Laws Of Power" plus get rid of the discnumber you wont need that. And Also add "Robert Greene" to the Album Artist. You could also add year here if you know what it is.

Then select each track individually and change its track value to the corresponding chapter value.

save, then try to refresh the emby audiobook library.
