Library Contents not displayed

Using EMBY on my synology. I have created 2 directories, one for music and one for movies. I have added each as its own library, but nothing shows up under the movie directory.

I  can run the movies straight from the  NAS, but they  do not exist in Emby. I  have checked permissions, these are the same  for both the Music and Movie folders.

I  have even removed and recreated the folders and library about 4 times, but it is still the same.

Anyone any thoughts please

Hi there, did you complete the library scan after setting up the emby library?

Posted

Absolutely.. but every time I initiate a library scan on the Movies folder.. it scans the Music folder .. it will not under any circumstances scan the movies folder.

I have removed and re-added it at least 4 times.. and each time it is the same.. it will not see the contents of this folder.

Can you provide a server log and the paths you used when you created these libraries.

@petertn ?

You can learn how to locate the server log file here:

Thanks.

@petertn Did you have a chance to try this again to get some fresh logs to upload so we can take a look?

Or did you figure out the issue or your own?

@petertn what library path did you add to your  movies library? What library path did you add to your music library?

All I see in your server log is:

/volume1/Emby

You can't use the same folder for both libraries. Try pointing music to:

/volume1/Emby/Music

and movies to:

/volume1/Emby/Movies
