Media pauses for ~2 minutes every ~20 minutes of playtime

I have Emby running as an LXC container on Proxmox. My media is hosted on a NAS and accessed via SMB. The filesystem is mounted to a directory in the container, Emby sees it as a "local" directory. I primarily use the Emby app on my Fire TV to stream media. Every 20 minutes, it seems to pause and "buffer" for 2 minutes or so. The Proxmox host has plenty of resources, and everything with the exception of the Fire TV is on wired Gbit ethernet. What gives? How can I find out what's causing the slowdown?
