Playback stops on 4k movie with hardware transcoding

As the title suggests, my playback pauses but then when resuming it doesn't actually resume.

It plays for roughly 23 seconds and then the issue occures. My cpu stays at 20% and gpu at 50% for another 10 seconds after it stops/pauses.

The problem goes away with hardware transcoding turned off.

Bought the premier just for the hardware encoding so hoping it's possible to fix it.

P.S. 720p version of the same movie works fine.

Can you post the ffmpeg log that works with HWA off.

But if I had to guess possibly the encoding bitrate differences that happen in hardware vs software.

Hardware will set a bitrate vs software applying a maxbitrate.

If you set client playback to a lower bitrate/quality to like 25Mbps does it work.

FYI converting H265 to H264 will double the items bitrate up to the set max value.  So this example is converted from 25Mbps to 50Mbps.

@artisuk as a test, if you lower the quality setting in the video player, does that help ?
