Problems with Collections since Autoboxsets was integrated

Hi All,

I am now on my 3rd Emby server trying to resolve a few issues, and I have even switch to the beta as it it has some nice new additions.

The problem I am having is with collections, ever since the 'Autoboxsets' plugin was integrated, my collections are grouped, but they do not scrape the collection poster (it seems to be collecting other metadata though) and the dynamic icon does not update on the home screen.

With my most recent install I was careful to leave the default providers etc.

Anything I can change for this to be fixed please, I can obviously manually fix the the collection poster, but what about the dynamic icon please? That's fairly annoying when all the others are populated and looking nicer. This never used to be an issue on my older install, serves me right for messing with it :)

Hi, are you able to get a collection poster using the manual image editor?

Hi Luke, yes I was thank you, it's strange it pulled the rest of the metadata just not the 'primary.'

Only issue that remains is the collection dynamic icon, even with the primary images populated it is still blank.

Any suggestions or if you need any further information please let me know. Also as a bit of feedback it could be the fresh install or the fact I changed the DB Cache size, but it 'feels' really snappy now, top job!

Did you do a migration from your previous installation?

I just used the restore function from backup plugin, (I also did not restore everything), and rebuilt the 'Movies' library fresh with the default services (obviously selecting the collection option).

I did have this problem with my previous install with the the stable release, although there were a couple of other weird things going on hence I started again.

Please post a server log.  But am guessing you have old /data/collections path that breaks Collection Library dynamic images.

Will look for previous topic.

I should not of had old collection paths as I set that up fresh, however your suggestion of posting a server log has helped massively thank you:

For some reason the install had not created the 'collections' subfolder. I manually created this and rescanned all fixed now :)

Thanks for the support!

The path should not exist as it is obsolete.  That being said this can not be a fresh install.

But the true steps to resolve the issue would be here as you have to get Emby to remove this old path from the database.

Okay I can try the true steps, so it's a better fix.

It was a clean install as all files/folders were deleted. It could be legacy information pulled across by serverbackup plugin, which created the issue.

I am guessing your previous \Emby Backup - xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx - Auto\library\Collections\options.xml had a path to old/previous location then.
