Strange naming behavior with tags in shows

I have a little issue with hyphens in my tags, when I started to manually tag my shows it was only one of two: "English-Audio" or "日本語-Audio", then more shows were added and with that new languages appeared, so I decided to change the way I tagged from "language-audio" to "language audio" (a space instead of a hyphen), the problem came when I deleted the previous tags and added "English Audio" and "日本語 Audio", after a server reset or after shutting down my PC and boot again the next day, I opened those shows and they appeared with the old tags with hyphens, even new shows that never had the hyphen version, showed up those instead. Some screenshots attached for reference.

The example shows "日本語-Audio" but it happens as well with "English-Audio", I don't know if it has to do with caching those specific tags or maybe the tagging doesn't differentiate between spaces and hyphens and for some reason it gives preference to hyphens. It's not a big of an issue, I can live with this, but it's kind of annoying so I hope there a solution.

Hi, do you have nfo files in your series folder containing these tags?

Nop, there's nothing on my folders except for the videos themselves (I checked for hidden files as well), also if is relevant to know, the metadata savers on my library are set like this:

Can you show a screenshot of the contents of the series folder? Thanks.

Inside "Main Season" folder (custom name season):

Inside "Specials" folder:

And lastly the show info on web app:

Strange. I haven't seen this happen before. @Happy2Play can you reproduce?

Sort of as I can not get the mismatch show above.  It is like it goes to what ever the first one created.  Say I add "English Audio" it appears fine, delete that tag and try to add "English-Audio" and you end up with "English Audio".

Added "日本語-Audio", then deleted and added "日本語 Audio" and got "日本語-Audio"

Tried to add both "日本語 Audio" and "日本語-Audio" and end up with "日本語-Audio".

Tags are not purged from DB either when removed.

Only tested on DB only media same as OP.

OK the tag does get cleared later if you scan all libraries. This will need some review though. Thanks.

Okay with that knowledge it does work.  As I was just doing specific library scan.

Removed tags

Scanned All libraries via libraries or Scheduled Tasks

Added Tag "English-Audio"

Appeared correct

Only "English Audio" appeared/saved (somehow these appear to be equal)

Little tedious needing a full scan to make these changes/updates.

I was doing specific folder scans too.

Indeed, it is a bit tedious doing a full scan every time, but it works! thanks for the help, hoping for a fix in the future but for now I will go with this workaround, just to minimize the hassle I´m gonna remove all tags and stick with a naming pattern.

Yea it's because the scan of all libraries has some additional cleanup routines added to it, so that's what makes the difference.
