TV Shows Are Showing Up As Seasons

Recommended Posts

Ugh! I did it again. I was organizing my TV Shows library a couple of days ago--archiving some old shows to an external disk, and splitting up the remaining library into a "documentary" and a "regular" show libraries. For the most part, every thing worked out. But in one of the libraries, some of the shows are showing up as seasons under another. Some (not all) of them are also showing up as their own shows. Is there a way for me to reset that library or should I dm @cayars. Although he might be mad at me since I was supposed to msg him about a month ago so he could show me how to connect a GPU on my Synology but never got around to it. I've refreshed files and metadata but nothing is helping!

P.S. Mod can you please move this to the Synology forum? Thank you!

Which folder? The entire library or just the troublesome show?

The set library folder and structure of that folder.

Does this help?

So [HBO Max] is being seen as a Show and everything in that folder is seen as a Season?

But if I had to guess Our.Boys.S01 folder will break the entire structure as it is a Season folder under the parent folder [HBO Max].

Emby currently requires every series to have their own parent folder.

Aah, I see it now. Should've noticed it on my own. That *is* the problem. I'll make a parent folder for My Boys S01 That should take care of it. Thank you very much,  @Happy2Play!

@iJoMun If you want to keep the Premiere channel name on disk such as [HBO Max] you can do that but you would then add each and every channel as a mount point to TV Library.

The key to getting good results is the Show\Season\Episode structure that is 3 levels deep under the mount point.

\TV
    \Glee (2009)
       \Season 1
          Glee S01E01.mp4
          Glee S01E02.mp4

PS I said I'd help you with those other things when ever you were ready.  You just take a long time getting ready is all. :)
When ever you want to do let me know a day or two ahead of time and we'll set that up.

Hey! Good to see you, man. Sorry I never got around to msg you...just been a crazy time. Thank you for your reply. I'll msg you soon and continue our conversation about the NAS. BTW, creating a parent folder for Our Boys S01 within the [HBO Max] folder solved the problem. It's not that I didn't know how to do it...I just got a little rushed when cleaning up the library and carelessly dropped it in the {HBO Max] folder.:)
