External Metadata for Photos and/or File Hashing?

I've been trying to add some metadata to my photo library.

I enabled the .nfo Metadata saver, but it only appears to work for videos.

Would it be possible to add .nfo saving (or even better, file hasing/identification) for photos, so that metadata persists when moving/renaming files?

Hi, I don't know if nfo for photos is a good idea, but maybe at some point we could support writing metadata back into the photo file.
