Recycle an installation?

Hello,

 

   I may need to reinstall Windows 10 Pro.  This means, I think, all Windows system directories and files will be deleted and replaced and the registry rebuilt from scratch.

In short, only the folders and files I have installed in my own directories will remain. I installed the zip file version of Emby into one of my root directories.

Can I reuse that installation?

Hello,

 

   I installed Emby on a Windows PC and completed the installation. If I install Emby on a Raspberry Pi 4b, will the new installation be able to use all the data on the media drives from the PC installation? The reason I ask is the PC installation took several days to complete.

I'm thinking the Raspberry Pi installation will go much faster.

I'm also thinking that I can also copy the library configuration files with, at most, minor editing.

Yeah or nay?

On same platforms there should be no issues at all.  Just remember you will have issues if library paths are different on new system.
