Does "Max Simultaneous Video Streams" Count toward Device Usage?

Hello,

I understand that the "Max Simultaneous Video Streams" option has a banner stating "This features requires an active Emby Premiere Subscription". As of now, all ten of my users have an unlimited selection for this option. From my understanding of the Premiere matrix, four users who are only accessing VOD in a web browser are not counting towards the device usage. The other six users who access via mobile/Smart TV do count towards the device usage. As it stands, with my current understanding, I only have six devices marked in device usage per the aforementioned information.

If I limit all ten accounts to "2" simultaneous streams does that count as ten devices toward the device usage? If not, does this feature ever count towards device usage when set as something other than unlimited?

Hey up,

that feature doesn't have any direct relation to Premiere devices count, but can have somewhat indirect impact under certain scenarios. To clarify, by it you're limiting how many concurrent streams one user can have when logged in as that particular user, i.e. he might watch at the same time on his TV and his iPad and his mobile phone. By limiting number of streams to let's say 1, he might watch something only on his TV or only on his iPad or only on his mobile at any given time, but not on all three simultaneously. However, it'll still count as three devices against your Premiere count if that occurred within same week, which is about for how long devices stick there before dropping off from your list.
