Server Vanished

I downloaded the Emby server and installed it. Added the app to Firestick, and the server was right there. Had to restart my machine, but when it came back up, the Emby server was gone, from the laptop and Firestick. And nothing I do will bring it back. Thoughts?

I think so. I only log in with one user. But, the fact remains that I'm old, and somewhat tech-illiterate.

Hi @RichardEnglish check and see if this is correct.
First you installed Emby Server on a PC/Computer.
Next you installed an Emby Client on a Firestick?
Is that correct so far?

Is the computer your using now the same that you installed Emby Server on?
If so check to see if Emby is running with an icon on the taskbard on the right side.
Also click the up arrow icon to show hidden images like this:

If you see the green icon you should be able to click it or right click it for a menu with choices to open it.
If you don't see that at all try looking at your installed programs and you should be able to start windows just as you would anything else from the Windows menu.

Hi. Thanks for the info. I ended up installing everything on a different computer and it works super.

Thanks for the feedback. If you have security software on the original machine it's possible that it tampered with the emby server install folder. It's something we've seen a few times over the years.
