Dennis_H 0 Posted February 19, 2022 Posted February 19, 2022 (edited) I recently moved and my external access no longer works. The modem/router that my new isp provided me has no option to enable "bridge mode" and I cannot figure out how to forward the port from the isp modem/router to my (Linksys Velop) router. I've googled and tried every combination I can think of but, no joy. I had it working previously, using my dyndns domain but now for the life of me can't figure it out. Inside my network access works no problems. I just don't know what ip to enter for "local" and "external" IP addresses, I tried every combo I could think of....I really need some help walking me through the setup. Help would be GREATLY appreciated! Edited February 19, 2022 by Dennis_H typo, clarity

Happy2Play 9783 Posted February 19, 2022 Posted February 19, 2022 You would forward the IP UBee assigned to your Linksys, then Linkysys to host. Ubee DDW 365 Router Port Forwarding Instructions Looks like you have to enter local and external ports but not external IP.

I access the Ubee at 192.168.0.1 and the Linksys at 192.168.1.1. Also the fourth field down from the top asks for External IP

My understanding is you would leave the External IP blank.
Dennis_H 0 Posted February 19, 2022 Author Posted February 19, 2022 The only device connected to the Ubee is the Linksys.
Happy2Play 9783 Posted February 19, 2022 Posted February 19, 2022 So on the ubee you would forward Emby ports to 192.168.0.3 and on Linksys you would forward ports to host machine.

Dennis_H 0 Posted February 19, 2022 Author Posted February 19, 2022 If I leave the external field blank I get an error message and it doesn't save the change.
Luke 42085 Posted February 19, 2022 Posted February 19, 2022 And then what did you do on the linksys?
Dennis_H 0 Posted February 19, 2022 Author Posted February 19, 2022 I haven't changed anything on the Linksys at all. It is just plugged into the Ubee in port 1.
Happy2Play 9783 Posted February 19, 2022 Posted February 19, 2022 Will have to look more but the external address will not be anything on your LAN. PortFording should not require and external address at all as the external address could change. But I would guess external would be your WAN address, local is where you are sending it. So 192.168.0.3 on ubee would be forwarded, then 192.168.1.? on linkysys would be forwarded to Emby machine IP.
