Android: Block Screenshot of App

Hi

Would it be possible to have optional functionality maybe via a server flag that would stop users being able to take a screenshot whilst emby is open. This is similar to what banks implement.

Why would you want to stop users from taking screenshots?

On a Shield, the taking of screenshots is controlled at the device level.

Same reason as to why you can click the checkbox for a user to not be able to download content.

Hi.  I don't think there would really be any way to prevent this in a browser.

Above also applies to mobile browsers, from which you can just as well access your server, so you wouldn't be preventing much - or only partially, and still not knowing whether something was screenshotted or not. 

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against your request as it doesn't affect me at all, just sharing thoughts.

Ye8s point taken. However my users are limited to sign in by android device only via device access. So if a flag could somehow block the screen shot functionality for my server that would be great.

Yes but you also requested a server-side switch for it.  That wouldn't make much sense when there would be no way to prevent this in many situations.  So, it would just need to be in the app.  We will monitor this request for support.

Okay understood. That switch was to cater for those who dont have my use case as I presume less people use emby for a private photo sharing platform than anything else thanks
