BobbyDing 56 Posted February 13, 2022 Posted February 13, 2022 A couple days ago my server stopped accepting new content. Older library files were present, but newly added movies would not show up (proper form of moviename (year). So I loaded up the embyserverbata as it's more or less a fresh install and tried adding movies, but no joy. It must be my unraid system. I've made no recent changes that I'm aware of. This appears to only be happening with emby. The log files are loaded with "Error Server: Access token is invalid or expired.""Error Server: Access token is invalid or expired". Any help wouold be appreciated. unraid 6.10.0 rc2 (latest I think) embyserver 4.7.0.23 hardware_detection-63776278290.txt embyserver-63780344263.txt hardware_detection-63780344270.txt embyserver.txt
Luke 42077 Posted February 13, 2022 Posted February 13, 2022 Hi, has your movie folder gone missing? Application path: /system System.IO.DirectoryNotFoundException: System.IO.DirectoryNotFoundException: Could not find a part of the path '/mnt/user/Movies Test'.
BobbyDing 56 Posted February 13, 2022 Author Posted February 13, 2022 Hi Luke. Those were from earlier and I did try replacing the space with an underscore. I've just deleted the library, shutdown, restarted, recreated library with .mnt/user/Movies_Test, which has a bunch of movies within its sub directories. Emby doesn't find anything and the library remains empty. Here are the latest logs. Thanks! embyserver-63780370233.txt hardware_detection-63780370240.txt embyserver-63780370303.txt hardware_detection-63780370309.txt embyserver.txt

BobbyDing 56 Posted February 16, 2022 Author Posted February 16, 2022 Movies in folders. It was working up till maybe 10 days ago. So some movies were present, but newer additions failed to show. File format was moviename (year).mkv. Interestingly I installed the binhex verion of emby and it's working fine on those same folders. Could it be a permissions issue? I suppose that would show up in the logs?
Luke 42077 Posted February 18, 2022 Posted February 18, 2022 Quote Could it be a permissions issue? @BobbyDing It could be? Have you found a solution or are you still having an issue with this?
BobbyDing 56 Posted February 21, 2022 Author Posted February 21, 2022 Hi Luke, sorry so long. The issue persists. I have limited access to the system once I start my work week. Today I have off, so I've done some experimenting. This is (I think) on the latest unraid and embyserver OR embyserverbata versions. If I create a MOVIE library, it remains empty (I can watch the scan progress bar spend only a couple seconds). What I've found is it I create the same library using content type TV SHOWS, it finds most of the movies. They are incorrectly named and some are missing as expected. But it found them and populated the library. So for whatever reason content type MOVIES and also MIXED CONTENT come up with empty libraries. I've gone through the setup for the MOVIES type and made sure prefer embedded titles over filenames is not selected. I've tried changing the order of the two database options. It's odd that this happened suddenly. I had created a new MOVIE library for x265 conversions and it was populating fine. I'm using tdarr to convert to x265 and strip out erroneous metadata. A few days after creating the library it suddenly stopped seeing the new additions. I'm attaching a folder view to show my library structure. This movie gets found with content type TV SHOW, but not using type MOVIES. I'll also attach an embyserver log file from when I removed most other TV and MOVIE content so this was the only library in the logs. As mentioned earlier, I set up a binhex-emby container and it works as expected. Could it be the calls to the movie db are being blocked? Would this show in the logs? Just grasping for ideas. Thank you for the assistance. embyserver.txt
BobbyDing 56 Posted February 23, 2022 Author Posted February 23, 2022 So I'm guessing it's not a permissions issue?
Luke 42077 Posted February 24, 2022 Posted February 24, 2022 As a tv library are you actually able to play? Because it might just be creating the series based on the folder names.
BobbyDing 56 Posted March 2, 2022 Author Posted March 2, 2022 @Luke Gained some time for this again. To answer your question, as a TV Library the movies do play. Curiously, a couple days ago I created a library with the type MOVIES, but entered the FOLDERS as one directory down from previous (using "Movies_Test/Halloween" instead of only "Movies_Test"), the library then populated properly with all the Halloween movies. Today I removed that library and recreated it hoping to confirm this was happening and supply you with more logs, but it now fails as it did originally. It's weird that it was working fine, then one day it stopped. Has to a software thing. But which software? This is on unraid and Movies_Test is a share. I haven't added any new containers or plugins recently, but the do get actively updated. Maybe a plugin update borked it? Dunno. As stated earlier the Binhex version is running fine (thank God, as it took some time to get the wife to use emby and I don't want to tell her she has to learn something new). Any ideas what to try next? Thank You! Bobby
BobbyDing 56 Posted March 14, 2022 Author Posted March 14, 2022 SOLVED. Under one or more of the sub directories there were some movie name files with "." between the file names, and in the folder name. Whenever I used Movies_Test as the folder name it must have seen the "." deeper in the folder structure and ignored everything under "Movies_Test". Removing the "." fixed the issue. I do remember something about a folder or a filename starting with a "." will be ignored, but I always thought it would be only that folder. Guess not. I'm not sure why the Binhex-Emby works regardless of the ".", but Movies is working again for me in the official Emby release. Thanks for the help! Bobby
