Network Share - RaspberryPi 4 Emby Server

I am having unbelievable issues with using a SMB mount in fstab. I have tried thousand of different ways and I just cannot do it.

I switched to trying and connect via network share in the library path. I can enter the server and the folder path but I do not get anything returned. It doesnt ask me for credentials so maybe that is why.

Any advice on windows network shares or a dreaded fstab solution would be AMAMZING

Can you give a little detail on your setup, as for me it's hard to work out what the setup is, i.e you mention pi 4 server then end with Windows Network shares.

So if the Pi 4 is the emby server, where are the shares located that you are trying to mount, hardware and software.

Whats your OS on Pi4

It's fixed. 

I have a 8tb external usb3 to the pie and a windows drive i wanted to attach from a shared drive on a separate pc (Win10).

I tried everything but I could not get the line right in fstab. I ran into a couple of posts on linux boards saying to replace username and password in the string with a credentials file. Followed the steps on creating a credentials file and boom. Ran mount -a and it attached first try.
