lorac 118 Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 Is DTS passthrough supported? From what I can read on the ROKU forums it seems like it should work. I have the ROKU connected to a receiver, and enabled surround sound in the settings. However, all I get is stereo sound.
Happy2Play 9780 Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 (edited) What is the does the media info say for that file? Does the ROKU say the file is being transcoded? Edited September 21, 2014 by Happy2Play
lorac 118 Posted September 21, 2014 Author Posted September 21, 2014 The Roku doesn't show or do anything apart from play the file. I tried several.
Happy2Play 9780 Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 When you arrow down while playing media it should tell you if it is Direct or Transcoding.
lorac 118 Posted September 21, 2014 Author Posted September 21, 2014 Transcoding for two movies, one said 'convert audio and video'.
lorac 118 Posted September 25, 2014 Author Posted September 25, 2014 So basically there is no way to fix the problem?
FrostByte 5392 Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Do you have the Roku settings on stereo, or Surround? On the Roku forums it says if you have it set to stereo it will transcod, otherwise it should passthrough DTS. You can also set your bitrate higher in the MB app if you have DTS-HD and have files with a bitrate up to 20mbs
