No Internet for an hour and I've lost premiere?

Just tried to watch live TV on my Shield and it wanted me to buy an unlock. I have lifetime premiere. I've had no Internet for the past hour or so, but that shouldn't be anywhere near long enough for a phone home to fail.

How long had it been since you last used that device with a successful check?

I don't know when it checks, but I was actively watching something on Emby using that device when the internet dropped out.

I guess it is possible that it failed previously and you didn't even know it because we do cache the successful ones.  The app should respect that cache for 7 days - unless something forces it to re-check.  Not sure what that would be though.

7 days doesn't even seem like much, to be honest. But as I said, I'd been watching something on Emby for a bit over an hour, I think? The power went out briefly, and when it came back on there was no internet. I finished up what I'd been watching, tried live TV, and it wanted an unlock (and remained that way even when the internet came back, I had to close the app completely to get it to work).

Kind of off topic--but related.

Is that something that we can see in the logs, the last time it validated our Premiere status?  What would force it to revalidate? 

Kind of wondering if I took my Shield up to the cabin (no Inernet) for the weekend, what can I do to prevent it from not working?

Maybe a FR to add a revalidate button to the dashboard.

Perhaps the loss of power during use is what caused the cache to get invalidated somehow...

No, there is nothing in the logs.

Just play something.  Talk to @GrimReaper.  I believe he uses the app disconnected for periods.
